What better way to get the word out about the potential dangers of sun exposure than teaming with the Red Sox? Thomas Kupper, MD, chairman, Dermatology, screened members of the Boston Red Sox June 23 in the American Academy of Dermatologists’ team effort with the Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Association. An estimated 10,200 players, coaches, families and front office staff have participated in Play Smart When It Comes to the Sun skin cancer screenings since the program launched in 1999.
